The Egyptian Election Commission has rejected the nomination papers of drug addicts running in the elections.
According to a report by a foreign news agency, general elections are to be held in Egypt some time later in which politicians as well as drug addicts have submitted nomination papers to participate.
The Egyptian Election Commission says a medical examination of those who submitted nomination papers revealed that several people regularly use drugs.
The Election Commission of Egypt has rejected the nomination papers of 17 candidates, including women, due to drug addiction.
Dr. Saad Mukhi, Information Secretary, Ministry of Health, said that the Election Commission has been informed in writing to cancel the papers of these candidates that drug addicts or addicts are not allowed to participate in the parliamentary elections. ۔
